The speed and distance your arrow can fly depend on several factors, including the draw weight of your bow, the type of arrow you are using, and the strength of your shot. On average, a compound bow can shoot arrows at speeds ranging from 250 to 350 feet per second (fps), while a traditional recurve bow may shoot at speeds between 150 to 250 fps. The distance your arrow can travel will also vary based on these factors, but a well-aimed shot from a compound bow can reach distances of up to 60-80 yards, while a recurve bow may reach distances of 40-60 yards. **
